Green Restaurants: A Taste of Summer

The Positive Plate was a program developed by Ecofficiency, a non-profit organization that works to inspire ethical consumer responsibility. The Positive Plate program provided green certifications to restaurants by evaluating sustainability practices in five categories: Product sourcing, energy and water efficiency, recycling and waste reduction, employee training/ development and community engagement. The goal of the program was to inspire a comprehensive and verifiable movement towards sustainable food production, service and consumption in Southern California.
